Guide to Apply an Updated Indicator

Step 1: Refresh TradingView

  1. Open TradingView and go to your chart.

  2. Press Ctrl + R (Windows) / Cmd + R (Mac) to refresh the page.

  3. If the indicator has updated, it will load automatically.

If the indicator doesn't update, follow the steps below to reapply it manually.


Step 2: Remove the Old Indicator

  1. Locate the indicator on your chart.

  2. Hover over it and click the "X" (Remove) button.

  3. Alternatively, open the Indicator List (⚙️ icon) and remove it from there.


Step 3: Reapply the Updated Indicator

  1. Click on Indicators at the top of the chart.

  2. If it’s a public script, search for it under Public Library and click to add it.

  3. If it’s an invite-only script, go to Invite-Only Scripts and select it again.

  4. The updated version will now load on your chart.


Step 4: Adjust Settings (If Needed)

  1. Click on the Settings (⚙️) icon of the indicator.

  2. Adjust parameters as per your preference.

  3. Click OK to save changes.


🚀 Troubleshooting

🔹 Still seeing the old version?

  • Try clearing your browser cache and logging back in.

  • Remove the script and wait a few minutes before reapplying.

🔹 Not seeing updates for an invite-only script?

  • Ensure the script creator has actually updated the script.

  • You may need to wait if TradingView is processing the update.
